The Heap (2023-2024)

During my 2023 summer internship at Puppet Heap, where I began working as a Puppet Fabricator, I had the honor of helping develop and fabricate The Heap, a character created and performed by Paul Andrejco, alongside a spectacular team of professionals. This included creating mockups for movement and weight distribution in the earliest stages, to working with papier-mâché, foam, painting, sewing, and coming up with creative solutions that would aid the puppeteer when it came to their performance and handling of the puppet.

When I returned full-time as an Assistant Puppet Artist in the fall of 2024, I began helping to refurbish and rework the puppet for upcoming performances. I was also able to assist in wrangling the puppet for two performances, including for Pictoplasma (September 20, 2024), where the character made an appearance and walked in front of the SVA theater.
