The Everlasting Muse

This piece was based on the work and experimentation of Ervand Kochar, specifically his “paintings in space” made of metal which he painted over in oil paint. It was constructed from scrap materials and completed for the “Kochar School of Paris: Modern Interpretation” exhibition held at the Ervand Kochar Museum in Yerevan, Armenia in 2019.

In collaboration with the Kochar Museum, my fellow high school students and I put together pieces based on the styles of painters such as Ervand Kochar, Fernand Leger and Pablo Picasso, which were later displayed at the Museum. I was part of the process of developing a name for the exhbition and created the initial design for the promotional poster, as well as having two pieces included in the exhibition.
